For more than 21 years, Humphrey G. Thomas has helped individuals, families, retirees, and business owners navigate important financial decisions with clarity and confidence. As Founder and President of HG Thomas Wealth Management, he believes that financial success is built on discipline, education, and making thoughtful decisions over time, not reacting to short term market events.

Humphrey provides guidance in retirement planning, investment management, estate planning, tax aware investment strategies, insurance planning, and helping clients navigate significant life events such as retirement, divorce, inheritance, or the sale of a business. He believes that every financial decision should begin with understanding a client's goals, values, and priorities before evaluating the available options.

One principle has guided his practice throughout his career: an informed client is an empowered client. Humphrey believes understanding the reasoning behind financial decisions is just as important as the decisions themselves. He is committed to educating clients so they can move forward with confidence, knowing not only what they are doing, but why they are doing it.

Humphrey has earned the Certified Estate Planner® (CEP®), Accredited Behavioral Finance Professional™ (ABFP™), and Accredited Asset Management Specialist® (AAMS®) designations, reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence.

Originally from Curaçao, Humphrey has lived and studied on three continents, experiences that have shaped his perspective and strengthened his ability to serve clients from a wide range of backgrounds. He earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Maastricht University in the Netherlands and also studied at Texas A&M University through an international exchange program.

His commitment to service extends beyond his profession. Humphrey is the former Chairman of Proyecto Juan Diego, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities and supporting underserved communities. He also served as President of the Rotary Club of North Brownsville and Chairman of the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, working alongside community leaders to promote education, civic engagement, and economic growth throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
